Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene

Lightweight material, Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene, or ETFE, is proposed as the membrane which will encapsulate Houston in a geodesic dome. This material has already been used in the Beijing Olympic Stadium and in the Eden Project. This material shows the possibility to move away from the hard lined modernist glazing that we now see in the current built environment.
