Within the coming months the University of Michigan Tuabman College (School of Art + Design) along with Supermanouvre(David Pigram) and Matter Design(Wes Mcgee) are setting forth a publication documenting the previous three years (2008, 2009, 2010) of robotic research conducted by studios at the graduate level. Archimorph acted as consultant and lead design in the fabrication of a polyurethane rapid prototyping techniques and subsequent urban design project utilizing such techniques while also exploring urban acupuncture, formal speciation, and micro-icons. More information into the Detroit Soundscape project can be found on the project’s blog: here. The above image is a sample cover for the Detroit Soundscape + Robotic Rapid Prototyping portion of the book which will release late 2010 for around $30.
